Weather data is quite expensive, especially for widgets, complications, and weather maps which are all highlights of Weather Up.

We previously offered an ad-supported version of the app, but got many complaints about low quality, annoying, and even offensive ads. Plus, ad networks are the worst offenders in regard to privacy and there’s just no way for us to guarantee they couldn’t access location data or collect other sensitive data from the app.
